Proverbs 22:1 “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches."

Mervin is a graduate of Grambling State University where he served as the Drum Major of the World Famed GSU Tiger Marching Band ( Grambling , LA ). He graduated in 1996 with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Music Education. He received the bulk of his training and ministry experience under Bishop T D Jakes, Pastor John P Kee, and Bishop A A Wells. In 2008, Pastor Mervin received the mission and vision for Saved to Serve Ministries while living in Charlotte, North Carolina. The vision was completed in 2013. He believes in 1 principle -  our personal witness must display evidence of an intelligent  relationship with God. This concept empowers us to walk in divine authority to be successful in life. Because according to the bible, our names are worth more than its weight in gold.

This ministry is birthed as a result of his personal relationship with God. The vow to be a good shepherd over God’s flock is an outer sign of an inner covenant that he has made with God.  

"God has given us a clear set of instructions, a matching mission, and a well-organized vision for a specific group of people. He told us that He would show us how big this city really is. God will give us what we need. Our full trust and dependence is in Him. Therefore, we are aggressively searching for the least, the lost, and the last. By faith, we will reach the lost and teach those who are found. "
